My research interest deals with the study of ferns biology. Since 1990s that I started using the fern as experimental system to explore into vegetative and reproductive development. During the last years, I am paying special attention to deepen on apogamy, an embryogenic program by which, an asexual embryo is arisen from vegetative cells of gametophyte, being somehow equivalent  to andrognesis and ginogenesis reported in Angiosperms. Since 2012, I drive molecular analyses to identify candidate genes to be involved in apogamy.
